| Lu Xun’s works were selected to the secondary school Chinese textbooks since they were published, andthey have occupied some space in the Chinese textbooks since the Republic of China: different years, differentversions of the secondary school Chinese textbooks selected Lu Xun’s works, the selecting of Lu Xun’s works andthe choose of the values makes Lu Xun in the textbooks an important research topic. Lu Xun’s works wereselected to the Chinese textbooks since the period of the Republic till now without missing, since the Republic ofChina, Lu Xun has its special status and research value. The recognizing of Enlightenment value and LiteraryValue of Lu Xun’s works will inspires the select and teaching of Lu Xun’s works in the current Chinese textbooks.Therefore, by collecting Chinese textbooks in the Republic of China, using empirical research methods, andgoing to the historical sites, the research studies the value orientation of Lu Xun’s works in the Chinese textbooksin the period of the Republic of China to inspire the present value orientation and provide reference for secondaryschools’ teaching on Lu Xun’s works.The thesis comprises an introduction, the body, and the conclusions. Introduction section briefly addresses theorigin, purpose and significance, the definition of the concepts and research methods. The body concludes fourchapters: The first chapter is the review of the literature about related research. Existing research results about thestudy has laid a solid foundation and leave some space.Chapter1to chapter4study the value orientation of thedifferent stages of the history of Chinese textbooks of Lu Xun’s works, concluding the cultural context,curriculum standards, the selecting and interpreting of Lu Xun’s works in the textbooks. Lu Xun’s works enteredthe textbooks in "New Educational System" period, and it laid the foundation for future. In the historical contextof the "New Culture Movement", Lu Xun’s works are selected on the value of the dissemination of new culturalenlightenment. In "Curriculum Standards" period, Lu Xun’s works in Chinese textbooks reflected the valueorientation of spiritual enlightenment, the subject and so on. During the "Custom of the Country" period, indifferent dominant regions such as "Kuomintang areas","liberated areas" and "occupied areas", Lu Xun’s worksin Chinese textbooks presented different looks and different value orientation,"liberated areas" presentedobviously a Social Political Value Orientation, which directly affects the interpretation and value orientation ofLu Xun’s works in high school Chinese textbooks in New China "Seventeen Years" and "Cultural Revolution"period. The conclusion proposes some inspiration on the teaching of Lu Xun’s works in the current secondaryChinese textbooks. |
