This study is conducted to study the national physical education students’ basic skills contestscheme,using the method of literature review,expert interview,Delphi method,questionnairesurvey method,mathematical statistics method and other research methods.This study aims todesign a more scientific and reasonable contest scheme to make the Physical Education studentsbasic skills contest content more in line with the actual primary schools sports work;plays a rolein the inspection and evaluation;physical education professional construction anddevelopment;and improve the quality of physical education teachers’ training.The study results show:there is some misplacement between the content setting of the nationalphysical education students’ basic skills contest and the demand situation of physical educationin primary schools;there is a lack of the professional skills competition and the contest settingalso exists some misplacement in the demand situation of physical education in primaryschools.The national physical education students’ basic skills contest lacks professional skillscontest;it mainly uses the “performance” as the only standard to score,there is a mismatch withthe demand situation of primary schools sports work.In this study,according to the demand of primary school sports work, combined with thecurrent competition plan,six proposals are put forward:1)in the field of knowledgecompetition,the contest should increases the Physical Education teaching practice,the PhysicalEducation theory, multimedia courseware and other aspects of knowledge,and decrease theknowledge of sports anatomy and sports physiology, delete or reduce the knowledge of Englishand computer B Windows version.2)add technology explanation and demonstration, teachingand writing teaching plans, the sports game design and organization ability content.3)in theaspect of sports setting,basketball,track and field,football,volleyball,aerobics,gymnastics aregiven priority with,appropriate adding of table tennis and badminton, decreasing the content ofWushu.4)to add the specification of complete technical demonstration, technical movementdecomposition demonstration, specialized practice demonstration, the error imitation,and otherprofessional skills knowledge.5)reduce the score of “competitive game content”, adding the“technical specification of movement” to the competition grades content.6)in the aspect of themethod of competition,it is suggested,the competitive colleges and universities should shortenthe time of intensive training and turn the idea of “for the game”into “for the teaching”.Makesure that the national physical education students’ basic skills contest reflects the fairness ofeducation and really plays a leading and guiding role.
