Along with the country to vigorously promote the development of the vocationaleducation, the development of the High Vocational education is accelerating. While thedevelopment of Secondary Vocational education is thriving. Secondary vocational educationundertakes the cultivation of professional technical personnel for the society. However, onephenomenon that cannot be ignored is that students in secondary vocational schools,especially in vocational high schools, are lack of self-confidence. This problem has not onlyhindered secondary vocational education from improving the quality of teaching, but alsorestricted the development of secondary vocational education and affected the quality offuture workers.On the basis of learning about the domestic and foreign related self-confidence ofvocational high school research results, the author took the student of Secondary VocationalSchool in Wangdu as study object and tested250students with self-made “Questionnaire onself-confidence of Vocational High School of students” and interviewed some students.Through investigation and interview, the author got the conclusion: lacking of self-confidencein secondary vocational education is very common and the factors of affecting theself-confidence include: schools, teachers, students themselves and so on. How can weimprove the self-confidence of vocational high school students? The school should reform themajor and course, set some courses with their unique advantages, reduce the theory course,increase practical course, improve evaluation system and the campus environment; As ateacher, we should try our best to further study, including teaching method, teacher quality,and the harmonious teacher-student relationship is very important. All these are the effectivestrategies.
