Research On Evaluation System Of University Science Park Competitiveness

With the continuous development of university Science Park in our country in recenttwenty years, the university Science Park has become a base for technological innovation ofcolleges and universities, an incubator base of high-tech businesses, a base for gathering andnurturing innovation and entrepreneurial talent, and a base for radiation catalytic of high-techindustries. Therefore, the study of university Science Park also attracted the attention ofdomestic researchers. At the same time, the research of theories about the university SciencePark, business model, and evaluation system is also increasing. But as time goes on, somedevelopment objective environment of university Science Park has changed, if we continue touse the evaluation system which was designed to evaluate previous university Science Parkon the university Science Park in the new period, these evaluation systems will expose manydefects and deficiencies. This paper attempts to build new evaluation system of universityscience park competitiveness, which is used to make further study on the evaluation ofuniversity Science Park related content in new era.Based on the Chinese and foreign scholars’ research on the evaluation system ofuniversity science park, and combined with my internship experience at the UniversityScience Park, this paper uses the methods of transverse and longitudinal comparison, and themethod of standard research and empirical analysis, and makes a comprehensive analysis ofthe existing evaluation system, also identifies some shortcomings of the existing evaluationsystem, on this basis, the paper selects the appropriate evaluation index of university sciencepark, trying to build a competitiveness evaluation system of the University Science Park,which mainly includes three aspects, namely, the capability of gathering elements, incubationand innovation and R&D, and this paper hopes to provide a reference for constructingevaluation system of the university Science Park competitiveness.Firstly, by combing the existing literature, the paper mainly introduces the foreign anddomestic operational mode of university Science Park, the research of evaluation system, andanalyzes the development of several typical university science park; then considering thecharacteristics of university Science Park, principles of selecting indicators, and thecontribution of other evaluation systems, then it builds the evaluation system of universityScience Park competitiveness, and makes further calculations of gathering capability index,hatching capacity index, innovative and R&D capability index and the total competitiveness index; at last, it makes an empirical study of A Science Park for analysis, evaluating andanalyzing the specific competitiveness index, and also compares A Science Park with BScience Park to identify the competitive advantages and disadvantages of A UniversityScience Park, therefore, it makes some specific and available recommendations for Auniversity Science Park.
