The thesis focuses on the study and living state between Chinese and Japanesestudents with the combination of quantitative and qualitative studies. Two editionsof questionnaire are used and a a series of comparative analysis are design tomeasure the differences.From the perspectives of study state, Chinese students share a high studyenthusiasm and put more focus on score of courses. Meanwhile, most of thembelieve their scores are stay in a relatively low level. Their aim of study andprogram after graduating are related to employment. From the perspective of living,Chinese students rarely take part-time jobs. Single students take a large poputaion.Their average hours of sleep is7.29, and most of them are short of physicalexersise.Japanese students share a smilarity on study state with Chinese students. Theirstudy enthusiasm is in a high state but lower than the one of Chinese students,especially on average study hours. Japanese students are also focus on score ofcourses and evaluate their scores in a high level. Their aim of study and programafter graduating are related to employment. In the view of living state, Japanesestudents are more likey to taking part-time jobs. Single students take a largepoputaion. Their average hours of sleep is6.29, and most of them are short ofphysical exersise.Compared with the study and living state between Chinese and Japanesestudents, there are no significances between their study state, except their averageself-teaching hours per day. The students from these two countries are also similarin living state. In order to give a proper explanation on these states, this studydiscusses these issues with traditional culture and theory of galobalization,combined with author’s experience in China and Japan.
