As the rising of China’s international status in recent years,the quantity, scaleand influence of mega-event is better and better. However, an investigation showsthat62%of those events have safety problems, according to the departments of publicsecurity. The emotion of audience is more excited, the crowd density larger, fieldsituation more complicated, mega sporting events have more potential securityproblems and management omission, it always results in accidents. So, the researchof field safety assessment of mega sporting events shows the crucial realisticsignificance.As the three safety theories,system safety management theory, track-crosstheory and Heinrich accident causal chain theory, the paper takes human factors,facilities factors, environment factors and management factors as the first gradeassessment indicators of field safety of mega sports event. The paper selects thesecond grade assessment indicators from the abroad and domestic literature review,which have a high frequency in similar studies, and the third grade assessmentindicators too. The paper makes a frequency statistical analysis to the induced factorsof235sports activities accident cases domestic and overseas in2000-2012,supplements some induced factors which has a low frequency in literature review,while high in accident cases, and cuts some false indexes. Then the paper confirms4first grade assessment indicators,12second grade assessment indicators,31thirdgrade assessment indicators. By means of235sports activities accident casesstatistical result, the paper gets every indicator’s weight by Grey Correlation Analysismethod finally.Taking2013Xiamen International Marathon for example, the paper revises theindex weight by Analytic Hierarchy Process according to8experts’ opinion. Themembership degree of assessment indicator is acquired by questionnaire, andcalculate the field safety assessment result of2013Xiamen International Marathon bythe Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method. The paper gives countermeasure and advice to enhance field safety, from the four kinds of accident cause factors: humanfactors, facilities factors, environment factors, management factors.
