Our country has initiated a project called “millions of teenagers sunshine sports” which iscommitted to strengthen the youth sports. Also The ministry of education has Issued a file whichrequests primary and middle school students to take exercise every day a hour. The national sportsact has promoted schools forming the atmosphere of sports exercise, and attracted the masses ofyoung students actively participating in physical exercise, cultivating sports exercise interest andhabit. Under this background, in combination with physical education curriculum reform, theprimary and secondary schools across our country, especially the rural primary and secondaryschools, actively use and develop physical education curriculum resources with localcharacteristics.Based on the existing physical education curriculum resources of Xiangshan juexi school, thisstudy adopts action research, and designs the focus of the physical education curriculum resourcedevelopment content and solutions. That are three important and characteristic curriculumresources,including basketball, Chinese chess, the campus group dance. After carrying out theprogram of curriculum resources development, we investigate the evaluation for physical educationcurriculum resource development program of students and teachers, by using questionnaire survey.Two questionnaires, the questionnaire of rural elementary and middle schools sports curriculumresource development and the follow-up questionnaire of curriculum resources development, haveused.476people (359students,117teachers)participated in this survey.The main result is thatphysical education curriculum resource development of Xiangshan juexi school have producedgood results, especially three special programs. To sum up the experiences of success and get thefollowing conclusion:(1) the support of school leaders is the guarantee;(2) cooperation is thefoundation;(3) material guarantee is the basic conditions;(4) development platform is a push force.The result of this study provides valuable experience in developing sports curriculumresources with local characteristics, cultivating students’ interest in physical exercise and habits,improving the students’ physique and health level.
