In volleyball sports in our country occupies a very important position in theuniversity sports.To improve the students’ sports ability and physical quality, improvebody function of each organ and system, cultivate a calm, intelligent psychologicalquality, enhance skills, team cooperation ability and plays an important role.Volleyball option class teaching as a course in higher education, teaching quality andteaching effect directly affects the development of volleyball in colleges anduniversities.Therefore, to study how to improve the quality and the teaching ofvolleyball options effect is necessary.This study using the method of documentary, questionnaire survey to study thestatus of the volleyball option class teaching, aiming at nankai university volleyballoption class of students and teachers.From the students’ attitude towards volleyballoption class teaching, the teachers’ teaching level and ability, volleyball option classteaching effect, volleyball option class teaching target, volleyball option classteaching content, volleyball option class teaching methods, volleyball option classteaching evaluation, teaching volleyball option class teaching hardware environmentthis several aspects has carried on the investigation and study and draw the followingconclusions:1.Nankai university volleyball option class teaching achievements, a volleyball optionclass teaching is to train and develop the students’ learning interest in volleyball, makethe most of the students are very like volleyball the sport. Secondly, the studentsrecognize teacher’s theory and the movement technical level, can satisfy the need ofteaching. Three is the volleyball option class teaching effect is good. Four is thevolleyball option class teaching space equipment hardware environment can satisfythe teaching needs.2.Nankai university volleyball option class teaching volleyball option class teachingproblems: one is the volleyball elective course teaching target is not comprehensive.Second, old volleyball elective course teaching methods, students can not adapt to theneed to learn. Three is the volleyball elective course teaching content is not comprehensive. Four is the volleyball elective course teaching evaluation is notreasonable.3.Ordinary university volleyball option class should be guided by the all-rounddevelopment of students improve the volleyball elective course teaching goal.4.Ordinary university volleyball option class teaching content should focus ontheoretical knowledge learning, physical exercise, and should divide into classesteaching according to students’ levels.5.Ordinary university volleyball option class should choose according to the principleof centered on students’ learning and use of volleyball teaching methods.6.Ordinary university volleyball option class should include building evaluationcontent, evaluation method, comprehensive evaluation objects, etc of volleyballelective course evaluation system.Due to the shorter of the present study, the research scope is limited, this studyhas some limitations and deficiencies, it needs to be studied in-depth system in thefuture, to promote volleyball option class to improve the teaching quality and effect.
