The Research On Zhang Zhizhong’s Educational Thoughts

Zhang Zhizhong is a famous patriotic general in Anhui in the modern history. He is not only showed a great talent in military and political, but also put forward some original ideals in education. From try teaching in GuiJun academy to service in HuangPu; As a Educationalist for10years to established IluangLu normal school in his hometown; From caused attention to minority education in HuNan to some education measures while he dealt with some problems in Xinjiang, All of these reveal his education thought. His education thought is mainly by his own growing experience, foreign travel experience and was "education salvation theory" thinking of the influence, to cultivate patriotic youth to realize education power as the final purpose. Teaching content, as he claims, i.e.. learning advanced western knowledge, and not reject the traditional Confucian culture. Out of military identity and experience, he also special proposed to the students’ physical health education. He adjusts teaching methods, takes the classroom teaching and extracurricular teaching, school speech all forms. In addition, Zhang Zhizhong also laid special emphasis on the importance of the teacher, he puts forward his own ideas about the teacher’s employment and selection system.
