In modern times,China was poor and weak,beset by internal and external troubles and social unrest.In the face of the weak modern China,many people of insight struggled to save the country’s destiny,they hope to explore a correct way to save the country.The growing national crisis,combined with a sense of patriotism,led to a rush to save the country through education.The thought of saving the country through education was widely recognized in modern Chinese society,and Huang Yanpei was the representative of the thought of saving the country through education.Born in the late 19 th century,Huang Yanpei witnessed China’s poverty and backwardness.He pinned his hopes on education,believing that the only way to save the country was to develop education.Huang Yanpei has been working hard to save the country through education for more than 30 years.From "xing education,school hall" to the combination of education and social movement,he strives to save the country and the people all the time,his patriotic heart makes us admire.It is of great significance to study Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education.Focusing on Huang Yanpei’s thought and practice of saving the country through education for more than 30 years,this paper studies the main contents of his thought of saving the country through education.Taking the development and change of his educational practice as the clue,this paper studies the whole process of Huang Yanpei’s educational thought of national salvation from formation,development to abandonment,and deeply analyzes the limitations and significance of his educational thought of national salvation.It is divided into the following three parts.The first part scientifically analyzes the social and historical background and ideological origin of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education,and narrate the development process of his thought and practice of saving the country through education.The broken and weak modern China and the society in the early years of the republic of China became the social and historical background of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education.The edification of Chinese traditional culture and the inspiration of western educational thoughts,together with the influence of modern Chinese educational trend of national salvation,became the ideological origin of Huang Yanpei’s thought of national salvation through education.The specific social and historical background and ideological origin make Huang Yanpei adhere to the idea of saving the country through education for more than 30 years,and he has experienced four stages from saving the country through general education to saving the country through vocational education.The second part elaborates on the main content of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving thecountry through education.Firstly,the necessity of saving the country through education is analyzed from the Angle of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education.Secondly,according to Huang Yanpei’s practice of saving the country through education,it summarizes the important links of his education and saving the country,with the middle and lower classes as the center of gravity,the main purpose of rejuvenating the people’s hearts,and the love of patriotism as the foothold.Finally,with Huang Yanpei’s educational practice as his base,this paper elaborates on the ways he used to save the country through education.The third part objectively analyzes the evaluation of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education.Starting from the background of modern society and history,this paper objectively evaluates Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education.On the one hand,we affirm the progressive significance of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education in renewing educational concept,improving people’s cultural quality and inspiring people’s patriotic spirit.On the other hand,from the main contradiction of modern China summed up its many limitations.Finally,according to the current social conditions to summarize its inspiration for the current society.This paper takes Huang Yanpei’s educational practice as the clue to explore the formation background and main content of Huang Yanpei’s thought of saving the country through education,and makes an objective evaluation of his thought from the objective historical background.
