The new high school biology curriculum standards proposed new requirements on high school biology teaching.requiring biology teachers to study the concepts of the new curriculum, to transform teaching ideas as well as teaching methods,Teachers should respond positively to the call of the new curriculum.Updating teaching ideas,improving teaching methods,focusing on cultivating students’initiative and improving their ability to learn,such as the ablity of obtaining new knowledge,solving practical problems and so on.In this paper,the applied research of case teaching is to explore the role of case teaching in the reform of biology teachers’teaching behaviors,in the change of students’learning methods and the improvement of biology teaching effects,aiming at providing the events reference and guidance to promote the reform of the biology curriculum.This paper mainly included the following contents:1. the development and implementation of case teaching.This part presented the summary of content and way of case development, the operating process and the concrete implementation of the case teaching by documentary research and teaching practice. This part focused on the empirical research scheme of case teaching by using biological history. Research object is four classes of grade two in Lan Yin senior school.The framework of empirical research scheme is constructed from the learning situation questionnaire and the learners’ academic performance.2.The effect of case teaching by using biological history. The results showed that case teaching can meet the learning needs of students.Case teaching is conducive to the improvement of learning interest and learning ability and it had a good effect on students’ biological academic achievement and competition performance.Finally,this research pointed out that case teaching is adapt to the new curriculum reform of teaching methods. Biological history is a good carrier of case teaching. The implementation of case teaching should be combined with the traditional teaching.
