With the New Curricular Reform gradually reaching in the whole nation, the content andform of senior biology teaching has changed.According to Ordinary High School CurriulumStandard(Experimental)(hereinafter referred as to Standard),the content of history ofbiological science and experiment ability has been more and more important in teaching.Thehistory of biological science can help to make students form good science literacy,and theexperiment can help to promote students’analyzes ability.If they can be integrated inteaching,making the history of biologcial science enter the teaching of experiment,it canpromote students’experiment ability.This thesis mainly discussed the theories and practice of using the history of biologicalscience to develop students’expriment ability.According to Standard,the article introducedsome theories about the history of biological science and the biological experiment.It couldprove that developing students’ expriment ability in the history of biological science was afeasible teaching strategy.At first,it summarized and made statistics of related concepts such as history ofbiological science and experiment, and state some views about meaningful learningtheory.Meanwhile to organise and conclude the contents of history of biological science andexperiment in the compulsory modules of PEP senior high school biology testbooks so that tounderstand and analyse.The second,using the questionnaire to survey the state of experimentteaching and history of biological science teaching in a senior high school.The third,itdescribed the strategies and methods of using history of biological science to developstudents’experiment ability.The New Curriculum Standard emphasizes a kind of conceptionof exploration in biology teaching.At the same time,it point out that in the history ofbiological science,students could learn how the scientists explore;about the experiment ability,students needed to explore continually so that to get the final experiment results.Thecombination of them could make students do experiment alone scientists’throughts when theyexplore,and could make students’experiment ability improve in the experiment. At last, a casewas used to analyse it.
