The research of the local teaching material has a history of more than100years in China, which not only reflects the national attention to the traditional culture and the attention to the field of education. Since the founding of the PRC, the research results of local teaching material have been fruitful. By standing the academic achievement in different times, researchers can have a better understanding of its development process and its functions. To analyse the local teaching material’s significance both in theory and in reality share the same responsibility as the school teaching to pass on knowledge and culture. Based on the analysis of the research results in different period, all the articles concerning local teaching material can be divided into three categories. To study the present situation of local teaching material can be conducive to the use of its educational function and promote its unique role in the cultural heritage.The focus of this paper, the second chapter, is an attempt to study the Lincheng County rural teaching materials research. Local teaching material is the supplement of the textbook, in order to be consistent with the new textbooks, this paper is divided into four basic framework of political, cultural, and economic transportation and communication, the first chapter discusses the history of Lincheng County to briefly introduce Lincheng County and its administrative division evolution; the second chapter is about the Lincheng County cultural relics, a brief introduction of Lincheng County historical and cultural relics, to the students; the third chapter discusses the economic situation of Lincheng County; the four chapter is about the situation of traffic and communication profiles, in Lincheng County. In school education, curriculum and textbooks are its main form. With the continuous reform and the deepening of China’s education, the study of the local teaching materials attracted more and more attention. In the tide of new curriculum reform, the educational administrative departments, scholars and schools of all levels are all advocating the establishment of school-based curriculum, and the local teaching material is as the foundation of the development of school-based curriculum.The third chapter is the evaluation about Lincheng County local teaching material compilation of examples, is divided into two parts:one is the functions of Lincheng County local teaching material compilation, to promote the diversity of curriculum diversification and strengthen t the moral education. School education use local teaching materials to carry out teaching reform and cultural heritage, promoting the formation of the school curriculum. From the moral education function, local materials through its own development and cultural connotation, promoting the formation of local identity, trains the student to the local comprehensive understanding and emotional, cultural and educational functions so as to realize the local teaching materials. For the use of local materials in Lincheng County, it is necessary to use local materials for education; two is a compilation of Lincheng County rural teaching materials used mainly by the special type style, not very well reflect the time continuity; the content that can’t all be insufficient.
