With the development of the economy since the reform and opening up,China has learnt much from foreign countries and participate into the process of globalization.As a result,China's domestic culture has lost its national spirit and the "root" of it with the influence of other cultures1.Therefore,since the 18 th CPC national congress,general secretary Xi Jinping has talked about Chinese traditional culture many times,expressing his recognition and respect of traditional culture and traditional ideological value system,and advocating the revival of China's excellent traditional culture.As an indispensable part of Chinese traditional culture,local culture plays an important role in the process of cultural revival.During the new curriculum reform of senior high school history,experts proposed that textbook resources of local history should be appropriately added in teaching so that students can learn more with their local culture and better understand the excellent traditional culture of their hometown.Zheng'an county in guizhou province has rich historical resources,but most of them only remain in ancestors' memory.As time goes by,people will gradually forget the old times.Therefore,the young people born in the 1990 s and the 2000 s cannot distinguish whether the history of Zheng'an county they learnt is true or not.For that reason,it is necessary to relearn the excellent traditional culture of Zheng'an and keep it in mind.This paper tried to combine Zheng'an local culture and senior high school history textbooks,editing local history textbooks with local characteristics.It can arouse students' local consciousness and enhance students' sense of national identity and patriotism.This paper will discuss about the topic from the following aspects: the first part mainly talks about the concept of county,local teaching materials,research status,as well as the research methods and innovations used in this paper.It shows the significance of this topic.The second part focus on the questionnaire of the teachers and students in Zheng 'an county,truly reflecting the status quo of the local historical resources in the middle school.Besides,it unfolds the possible problems in future teaching and some effective and efficient suggestions.In the third part the author suggests that the principles of authenticity,locality and practicability should be followed in the development of Zheng'an county high school history textbooks.The fourth part gives an example of the development of local resources in Zheng'an county from six different aspects.The fifth part introduces various teaching modes in high school history class.
