Junior middle school geography discipline as a junior high school stage of the examination discipline,curriculum time for two years,and for teaching,the teaching time is short and heavy task,need the students master the knowledge is more,the traditional teaching methods and teaching means are not suitable for the physical and mental development characteristics of contemporary junior high school students.At the same time the new geography curriculum standards advocated "autonomy,cooperation,explore" the study way,emphasizing "take the student as the main body","take the innovative spirit and practical ability as the core" education philosophy.At present middle school stage,the main space of learn is still a regular classroom.Therefore,how to make students develop independent learning in classroom teaching,fundamentally change the student's study way,causes the student to gain knowledge actively,promote the development of the students,this is a concrete and realistic problem.In the new curriculum reform implementation for more than ten years,however,students autonomous learning in geography subject what is reality? What kind of characteristics of the present? What factors restrict the improvement of geography in junior high school students autonomous learning ability? With yantai 3 middle school as an example,this study adopts questionnaire investigation to student's geography the present conditions of the autonomous learning,and on the part of teachers and students further interviews and related research.Through a thorough investigation of students and the analysis of the interview results of some teachers and students,thus puts forward specific strategies to improve geography in junior high school students autonomous learning ability.Autonomous learning,the learning,subject to their own ability and the external factors and so on many factors,such as in the understanding of students' learning ability on the basis of the existing,using external factors and the correlation between students' learning ability exert positive influence,will certainly to further strengthen geographic autonomous learning ability of students.And through the relation analysis of internal factors on the autonomous learning learning advice to students,will surely help to improve students' ability of geographic autonomous learning.Of junior high school geography of autonomous learning,the author of this paper all kinds ofproblems and the reasons put forward some coping strategies,and carries on the implementation and explored.This will help the middle school geography teacher to deepen the understanding of autonomous learning,to make them to cultivate high school students have a deeper understanding of the importance of autonomous learning ability.
