The emotion is the key content in psychology, but for the study of academic em-otion begins to flourish in recent years. Academic emotion and students’learning achievement, academic expectation and mental health have a close relationship. Because of the special situation of our country’s education, primary and junior middle school students in China face great academic pressure.This paper investigated the situation of academic emotion and academic pressure in junior middle school students in grade one, grade two in Tianjin, and analysed the relationship between them. The purpose is to propose measures to deal with the academic pressure from academic emotion angle, easing the situation of students who facing generally academic pressure in middle schools. This research adopted random sampling method, select a common and key school in Tianjin, We issued a survey questionnaire of500.Analying the situation of academic emotion and academic pressure, the relationship between them. Conclusions are drawn as follows:1) In academic emotion, the positive emotion of middle school students is higher than the negative emotions generally, the high arousal emotion is higher than low arousal emotion. In gender, girls’ anxiety and depression are higher than boys, boys are higher than girls in boredom; In grade differences, grade two students in negative high arousal, such as,pride, anxiety, angry and upset mood are higher than the students in grade one. Grade one students are higher than the grade two students in relaxation; In school type, key school students are higher than that of normal school students in proud mood; In the home location, city student in active high arousal emotion, proud emotion and calm emotion are higher than the rural students。But rural students are higher than the city in the helplessness.2) The student’ overall academic pressure is relatively large, gender and grade differences are not significant; In the school type, the normal junior middle school students are higher than key school in self pressure, social pressure and overall academic pressure; In the family location, rural students are higher than city students in self pressure, teacher pressure, social pressure and the overall academic pressure.3) In addition to active low arousal this dimension is negatively correlated with all dimensions of academic pressure and all dimensions in active high arousal emotion are not significantly related with academic pressure, the rest shows a signi positive correlation.4) The dimension of negative high arousal emotion and its different factors have a direct and significant effect on academic pressure.
