With the increasingly close international contacts, English has gradually become one of the foremost languages that moderns communicate with the world. This makes the object of English education in China is gradually moving towards the younger age. English education has been rapidly gaining popularity in preschools. People pay more and more attention to the quality of the preschool English education. Studies have shown that, the level of professionalism of the preschool English teachers has become a bottleneck restricting the further improvement of the preschool English education.The author conducted a survey about the present situation of the Tianjin preschool English teachers’ professional quality. The aim is to find out the influencing factors, and make a depth analysis. On this basis, the author puts forwards her own suggestions about the further improvement of the professional quality of the preschool teachers of English in China. The methods of the survey are literature analysis and questionnaire, the analysis and research about the professional quality of the investigation object are divided into three parts:professional attitude, professional knowledge, professional competence.The study results show that:General, the professional quality of Tianjin preschool English teachers has been greatly improved than before. The professional attitude of the surveyed teachers is high, but the professional knowledge and professional competence are relatively weak. In addition, the demand in continuing education of the surveyed teachers is growing, which has a direct relationship with the status quo of their professional knowledge and expertise.Therefore, whether it is from the training system of preschool English teachers, or from the level of the continuing education; whether it is the preschool, or the preschool English teachers themselves, should improve the standards of the professional quality of the preschool English teachers, in order to promote the development of preschool English education more professional, systematic and standardized.
