Research On Vocational Schools In Modern Tianjin

Vocational education is a kind of education for improving the educated men’s technical ability. In our country, It arose at the end of Qing dynasty and got more complete development in the period of the republic of China. The rise of vocational education has its profound historical background. In order to contend against foreign powers, the Qing government explored the development way that how to save and develop our country actively. They noticed the huge differences between traditional Chinese education and foreign education (including vocational education).At the same time, national industry was arise. On the basis of high demand for professional talents, vocational education should be formed. Obviously, set up the vocational Schools is the most effective way to develop the vocational education. So, vocational Schools got well development in our history.Tianjin is one of the birth places of the modem national industry in our country. It is also the base of the westernization movement, thus it has its own unique advantages during its development. In this paper, we make the modem Tianjin’s occupation school as the research object, then discussed and elaborated its historical origin, it’s developing process, it’s enlightenment to the development of today’s vocational Schools education.The research objects of this paper are the vocational schools from the Qing dynasty and period of the republic of China. They crossed three history stages:1876—,1911,1912—1926,1927—1949. The vocational Schools as the reformation of the traditional education, it combined the school and the society, it made the ineffable contribution for the emergence and development of the modem national industry. While the development of Tianjin modem vocational schools has the lead role in our country, well, the study of this paper has strong importance and representativeness. In our culture, we always use the past to allude to the present. So, in the last chapter, we discuss the enlightenment of the development of the vocational schools in modem Tianjin to the modem occupation education, and it also can be used as the punch line and for a comprehensive summary of this research.
