In recent years,sandplay therapy has gradually deepened in the field of theoretical research and clinical practice.The propose of this study was to explore the initial sandplays of social anxiety college students and the effect of group sandplay therapy on improving college students' social anxiety.In this study,250 students from two universities in Wenzhou were randomly selected to conduct an IAS test to explore the influence of college students' gender and grade on their social anxiety;After the end of the test,randomly selected 25 social anxiety students and 25 normal college students,comparing their initial sandplay works and summarizing the initial sandplay works of social anxiety college students;Then,chose another 28 social anxiety college students and divided them into 4 groups.Each group was controlled by a kind of experimental treatment(group no-themedsandplay,group-themed sandplay,group no-subject group,no intervention)to conduct a controlled trial to examine the effectiveness of group sandplay alleviating college students' social anxiety.The research resu ts are as fol ows:(1)Female college students have higher social anxiety than men;freshmen have the highest social anxiety.(2)Social anxiety college students take a long time in making their initial sandplay products with high frequency of self-inmage.They move a large sand area and it is easy to have multiple movements of sand and repeated adjustment of sand tools;.they tend to make family and school scenes.And show more traumatic themes.(3)Group sandplay has significant effect on improving college students'social anxiety,but there is no significant difference between the theme group sandplay intervention and the non-theme group sandplay intervention effect.
