Students’ evaluation of teaching is organized by teaching management department, student according to the classroom performance of teachers, teaching effectiveness and the feeling of learning to evaluate teaching effect and make judgments. As an important way of evaluating teaching quality, which and expert evaluation of teaching, workmate mutual evaluation of teaching, teacher self-evaluation is compound of the evaluation system of teaching. In recent years, raising the level of students’ evaluation of teaching is an important way to enhance the teaching quality, which has been the people’s recognition. Colleges and universities are beginning to study this problem gradually, in order to enhance the teaching quality, the management of teaching and explore the positive role of students’ evaluation of teaching.The object of this study is based on the case of a provincial university.On the basic of previous research results to define the related concepts of students’ evaluation of teaching. Discuss the theoretical basis of their research of the reliability and validity of students’ evaluation of teaching. Analyze it through survey and interviews, and do some reflections in order to working out the corresponding solutions. Then expect that it can arouse the attention and exploration of students’ evaluation of teaching in colleges and universities, in order to improve the level of students’ evaluation of teaching, reflect some specific problems and play a substantial role in future research.In addition to the conclusions and discussion section, the thesis contains four parts.The first part, in the preamble it mainly described the major issues raised and research significance, research ideas and research method. Sort out the relevant research literature, making the general introduction of abroad studies and home studies. And through the literature of students’ evaluation of teaching analyze recent research and research characteristics.The second part, interpret and define the related concepts of this study. Analyze the meaning of students’ evaluation of teaching, the meaning of reliability and validity in colleges and universities. Elaborate self-understanding of the concepts of students’ evaluation of teaching, which provides the theoretical basic for the discussion that followed.The third part describes the results of survey. Analyze the problem of students’ evaluation of teaching in university. Find that some problems exist in the system of index, the processing, the feedback and use of the result and other aspects.The last part, referencing to the problems reflected in the survey and propose solving strategies. Colleges and universities should adopt some according measures to improve the present situation, making the system of students’ evaluation of teaching perfected. Keep abreast of the feedback of the result of students’ evaluation of teaching and explore the positive role of students’ evaluation of teaching.
