Primary Chinese Teaching Science Literacy

With the rapid development of science and technology in the society which enhan-ces public scientific literacy in humanity.The improvement of scientific literacy depen-d s on cultivation of educational environment mostly.In all stages of education, undoubt-edly the primary education plays major part in historic mission of scientific literacy.Mo-reover primary Chinese language has the combination of the basic, comprehensive, and integrated features; it plays an important role in education of scientific literacy. So how could we involve Chinese language teaching in cultivation of scientific literacy? This is the essay studying and discussing about.The essay includes three parts:the introduction, the body and the conclusion. The introduction part raises the topic,literature review,the content and methods of the study.There are three components in the body part. The first component talks about teaching in scientific literacy and Chinese language, and the co-ncept of scientific literacy; it also talks in general about the age and character of studen-ts in primary school;the relationship between Chinese language teaching and cultivation of scientific literacy.It will analyze Chinese language teaching involved in scientific lit-eracy in current primary school in second component. The study is based on feedback of a survey to research,investigate and explore reasons affecting education of scientific lit-eracy.The third part will explore ways and methods in teaching of cultivation of scienti-fic literacy. This is the key part, it shows lot of effective teaching examples which were used in practice. In conclusion, it raises an explicit request to all teachers and education department to take cultivation of scientific literacy education seriously.Further more the teaching of primary Chinese language would play an important role in the hope of deve-lopment of scientific literacy education in future.
