The digital piano group class was introduced into China in1990s and has developed fordecades. It played an important role in the professional piano education for the pre-schooleducation major in secondary vocational school. This paper, through literature analysis,survey and investigation, experiences summary, made a preliminary research on digital pianogroup class in secondary vocational school.The first chapter stated the necessity of the professional digital piano group class for thepre-school education major in secondary vocational school. Because more and more studentshave been admitted into middle technical school, one-to-one and small group teaching ofpiano classes are not appropriate. However, digital piano as a new teaching tool has shownadvantage. We demonstrate its price, sound and teaching model and draw a conclusion.Chapter two analyzed the education of professional digital piano group class for thepre-school education major in secondary vocational school, including analysis of current state,innovation of education methodologies, optimization of group class teaching methods, andsignificantly improved education progress and quality. Students can increase their interests inpiano through such education.Chapter three is the class curriculum development of professional digital piano groupclass for the pre-education major in secondary vocational school, including basic playingmethods, impromptu accompaniment, nursery rhythms singing and playing, and musictraining. Through the courses designed for each semester, specific and targeted educationgoals are set to help students master the professional pre-school education skills. Studentshave basis piano playing knowledge upon graduation and are able to use keyboardinstruments to carry out pre-school music teaching activities and provide better service forchildren’s music learning.
