The high-efficiency classroom instruction depends on the students’class participation. It plays a very important role in teachers’teaching and students’learning. As the subjects of learning in the class, students participate in classroom activities equally under the guidance of teachers, and try to explore and find problems. They can express their personal opinion, and realize the subject construction and achieve the development goals in the process of participation. Under the background of the new curriculum reform, the Chinese Course Standard requires Chinese language teaching to achieve "student-centered", and plays the role of students’initiative and enthusiasm, and make students take an interest in learning. This will achieve the purpose of improving the efficiency of class teaching. Therefore, it is very meaningful and necessary to study the class participation in middle school.This study is based on the summary of relevant research results, according to the requirements about Chinese new curriculum standard and the actual teaching situation of teachers in the junior high school. Through the methods of classroom observation, questionnaire and interview, the author makes a deep survey on the current situation of students’class participation in junior middle school in Wancheng District of Nanyang. The survey shows some problems as follows. First, junior high school students’class participation enthusiasm is not high; Second, the attitude of class participation needs to chang; Third, the motivation of class participation needs to inspire; Fourth, the types of participation are scant and the depth is not enough; Fifth, the participation condition that teachers provide is insufficient; In the last, the feedback that teachers give is not in time. Overall, class participation of the junior high school students is below average level. In addition, the teacher is one of the main factors influencing students’class participation in junior high school.Through the in-depth analysis on the investigation results, this study puts forward the following countermeasures:training students’subject consciousness and arousing the enthusiasm of students’class participation; Establishing a good relationship between teachers and students, optimizing the environment of students’class participation; Creating the problem situation, strengthening the motivations of students’class participation; Giving timely feedback and keeping the enthusiasm of the students’class participation.
