Tibetan-chinese bilingual education is unique education mode in Tibetan areas of China, which is an important part of minority education. Although Tibetan-chinese bilingual teaching has made many achievements, it also encounters many difficulties in the process of teaching. One of the difficulties is the poor of teaching resources, so developing Tibetan-chinese bilingual physics CAI software is a very urgent task. We studied the theoretical basis, requirements and practices of CAI software from the paper.Firstly, we studied tibetan-chinese bilingual CAI design theoretical basis in detailed from five aspects of psychology, pedagogy, education communication theory, physics and tibetan-chinese bilingual teaching.Secondly, on the basis of the research and experiences of the Tibetan-chinese bilingual teaching for CAI software in other place, we designed a questionnaire and investigated, which included the compositions of students, the language level of students, the present situation of multimedia hardware and CAI software, as well as the attitude of students to CAI in the school of Tibetan. In order to understand the current situation of high school in Tibetan, the80college students who came from more than40high school in tibetan-inhabited areas were selected as the object of investigation. We also interviewed with some teachers and students from Tibet. Through the investigation and interview, we learned that the most students in the school were Tibetan and the main language were Tibetan. However, the teaching language of high school is chinese mainly. So tibetan-chinese bilingual teaching materials are required urgently for these students. Meanwhile high schools are equipped with multimedia classroom, so the hardware meet the requirements of CAI software. On the other hand, computer which includes image, video and animation can help students to understand the experiment principle and promote the students’ interest in consideration of the lack of experiment devices. Therefore the computer aided teaching are very useful to these students in Tibetan.Finally, according to the basic principles of tibetan-chinese bilingual CAI software, we designed part CAI software of the high school physics. And we selected chapter4in the high school compulsory physics as teaching examples to analyze. And we put forward the evaluation requirements as for tibetan-chinese bilingual CAI software.
