A Study On After-school Safety Education Of Migrant Children

In recent years, children safety education problem in the migrant family has attracted people’s attention in the society gradually. At present, most of the researches, which are only based on school safety education, focus on analyzing the reasons of many safety problems happened on migrant children, and then putting forward a series of measures to solve the problems. As for after-school safety education of migrant children, it’s still lack of analyzing.Firstly, this thesis explains the concept of migrant children deeply, and then analyzes its law and theoretical foundation. Meanwhile, it summarizes the main problems existing in migrant children safety education nowadays. In order to know well about the current situation of after-school safety education of middle school migrant children in Zhongshan City, the author of the thesis makes a survey of middle school migrant children of M middle school in Huangpu Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. The author of the thesis delivers some questionnaires to the people who are selected randomly from three communities, two schools and a number of migrant families in Huangpu town, Zhongshan City. Besides, aiming at the high-occurrence types of migrant children safety accidents, the author of the thesis chooses62migrant children in M middle school as research sample to make individual example studies. By comparative analysis of different characters in the survey, the author of the thesis tries to find out the differences among them including the differences of after-school safety education between middle school migrant children and normal children, the differences of safety self-consciousness between middle school migrant children and "migratory bird type" migrant children, and migrant children’s variation of safety issues in different ages. The thesis finds some important factors that influence the safety education of migrant children. These factors include parents’ safety education habits in the family, migrant children’s cultivation of safety self-consciousness, safety prevention system of children in the school and environment reconstruction in the community. At last, based on the research, the thesis will focus on the regional characteristics and specific situation of M middle school in Huangpu Town, Zhongshan City, putting forward to establish a "family-school-community" safety education mode of migrant children gradually to achieve the goal of "prevention first, combining prevention and cure". Also the thesis will discuss the possibility of the wide implementation of "family-school-community" safety education mode of migrant children in Zhongshan City.
