Group Work Intervention To Community Safety Education Of Children Research

Community is an important place for children’s life.The construction of community safety environment is conducive to providing a healthy growth environment for children,and the atmosphere of community safety education affects the improvement of children’s safety awareness.J community is the community that the author contacted during the internship.By using the participation observation method and the in-depth interview method,the author understands that there are some potential safety hazards in the community environment for children.Children have poor safety awareness in their daily performance and lack of attention to the potential safety hazards,which can easily lead to safety accidents.According to the assessment of children’s safety demands in J community and the characteristics of children’s preference of groups and games,a five-section children’s safety education group is designed,which mainly includes basic safety knowledge sharing,community safety hazard identification and participation in reminder signage,and guide the children to achieve team goals in the process of team.Reviewing the development stage of the group,from the perspectives of group members,group activities and social workers,it is considered that the group has basically achieved the group’s goals.The safety awareness of the group members has been improved to a certain extent in the process of the group,and a trust and mutual assistance relationship has been formed in the participation of the group activities.By reflecting on the practice of the whole group,the author believes that the construction of community safety environment is an important guarantee for children’s safety education;the group social work method has advantages in community children safety education;the knowledge reserve and practical ability of workers affect the effectiveness of the group;the involvement of staff affects the sustainability of the service.Finally,we put forward Suggestions on how to apply the work of the enhancement group to the community child safety education group,including: fully evaluating the needs of child safety education;Increasing children’s sense of participation and strengthening safety awareness;Social workers need to constantly improve their service level;exerting community power and inviting volunteers within the community.With the help of the advantages of group work,children should pay more attention to the surrounding safety environment,strengthen safety awareness,avoid safety risks,and reflect on the group process,to provide new ideas and methods for the community to carry out safety education activities for children.
