Employment is vital to people’s livelihood. Higher education in our country has gone from the elite stage to the popular stage, and the graduates’employment has aroused concern of all aspects in society. According to the pertinent data statistics, higher vocational education has accounted for half of higher education in our country. Higher vocational college graduates’employment problems directly affect the healthy development of higher vocational education, the development of higher education, and the process of popularization of higher education in our country. Based on such realistic background, this topic takes higher vocational college graduates’employment quality as the theme, mainly takes CM College graduates’employment quality as a sample for empirical analysis, to explore the employment quality of graduates in higher vocational colleges. The paper first summarizes employment and quality of employment related theories and researches, and by absorbing the achievements already made has constructed the graduate employment quality evaluation system for higher vocational colleges. On the basis of that, we issued written or electronic questionnaires to the graduates of CM College in nearly five years. The questionnaire survey was designed in the four aspects of "working conditions","labor relationship","social insurance" and "degree of job satisfaction". On the basis of a preliminary sorting of the data collected by the questionnaire, we have analyzed that the quality of higher vocational college graduate employment overall has shown a good trend of steady rise, and have further analyzed eight evaluation indexes separately. We conclude in this article that generally speaking, the employment quality of higher vocational college graduates has a great upside potential. The main factors in lowering the quality of graduate employment in higher vocational colleges are:first, the job stability is not firm, second, working hours are too long, and third, social security is not available. According to the empirical analysis conclusion, the author puts forward that higher vocational college graduates’employment problem is complicated systems engineering, and needs the tripartite joint efforts of governments, schools, and graduates. The government’s main responsibility is to intensify the employment bolster support, and perfect the reemployment policies; the school’s responsibility is to improve the quality of personnel training, and improve the level of employment guidance; and graduates themselves should shift their employment concept, and improve their employment ability.Meanwhile, the diversity of samples is limited due to the number, and the fact the paper involves CM College only. The data reflect the quality of the college’s graduate employment situation basically. However the representation is insufficient to reflect Hunan provincial and even the national quality of employment for graduates of higher vocational and technical colleges. That is also a flaw in the research. The next step is to further enrich the sample quantity, increase the diversity of samples, and improve the evaluation methods. Above we have carried on the analysis of the college’s nearly five years of employment quality as a whole. Now, we are going to analyze its employment quality of eight evaluation indexes separately, and observe their change trends and the problems they reflect.
