Modern psychology research shows that the students,learningprocess is that intellective factors with non-intellective factors influenceeach other and the non-intellective factors have the deciding function.In personality psychological structure, many non-intellectual factorsform interrelated, mutual checks and interactive power system, which isthe most dynamic and positive factor in human personality of anddetermines the extent of the positive activities of people, so thenon-intellective factor plays a very important part in students" studyinggrowth.Always, most of the students of secondary vocational school havethe weairness and resistance to study, especially to English. They arefeeling English difficult and fear to learn, lacking of learning motivatioii,having no interest and strong will, whose study achievements are low.But among a large majority of these students, their individualintelligence is not bad. The key lies in its lower non-intellective factorslevel. In order to have a clearer understanding about the influence ofnon-intellectual factors of the secondary vocational school students totheir English study, then improve the study of the present secondaryvocational school students. I choose the students of service andmanagement vocational school, as the main research objects, adoptmethod of questionnaire, have a systemaitc analysis on whatnon-intellectual factors have great influence to the English study ofsecondary vocational school students. According to the analysis, I putforward to the advice and methods on developing secondary vocational"school students non-intellectual factors by wliich we can improve’students non-intellective factors in our teaching.The paper consists of five parts. The first part mainly argues the general introduction of this stud^the purpose of wirting the paper andthe organization of the paper. The second part is the literature review onnon-intellectual factors.The third part is the methodology. It consists ofthe research questions, the instruments used in the study and tlie subject.The fourth part is the analysis and findings of the questionnaires data.The fifth part is some teaching suggestions and strategies for vocationalschool English teachers. The last part is the conclusion It consists of thelimitation and some thoughts on the research.
