Affinity And Altruism: On The Psychological Crisis Intervention Study

This study aims to under the guidance of positive psychology theoretical achievements，discuss the basic principle of affinity and altruism as well as its relationship with prosocialbehavior, Positive warning mechanism and Positive intervention mechanism. In the aspect ofmeasuring affinity and altruism positive quality, we use the altruism sub-scale of humanisticphilosophy scale, organized by Wrightman, and middle school teacher affinity motivationscale, organized by Liu Yin, and Prosocial Tendencies Measurement Scale (PTM); in theaspect of measuring psychological crisis and life stress, we adopt the UPI questionnaire,revised by Fan Fumin of the UPI group, and the SLSI scale, organized by Gadzella of Americaand revised by ourselves. We pick up560college students to do the sample survey, byfounding the research hypothesis which is that “affinity and altruism positive quality has thedouble mesomeric effects to buffering life stress and intervening psychological crisis”. Andthis study provide parameter and guide for college students’ psychological crisis intervening.At the same time, we raise corresponding positive psychological health education strategy andoperation suggestion.This study obtains conclusions as follows:(1)The analysis of the individual interview about prosocial behavior discovers that theconceptions of prosocial and affinity, which are understood by the college students, areapproximately same. And prosocial behavior is similar with altruistic behavior. They arebehaviors which are good for others and social.(2) Affinity motivation intervening psychological crisis is multiple regressions analyzed.The result shows that factors of maintaining friendship which is built in affiliation motive hassignificant intervention effect to the core indicator of psychological crisis—depressivesymptom(p<0.05). Altruism intervening psychological crisis is multiple regressionsanalyzed.The result shows that altruism has significant intervention effect to the standard ofcourse of depression and decreased of thinking ability, suicide attempt which is the indicatorof diagnosis of depression(p<0.05).(3) Exploratory linear regression model shows that prosocial behavior and its interactionfactor has significant negative effect to life stress and psychological crisis (p<0.01). (4) Confirmatory structural equation model shows that prosocial behavior has significanteffect to life stress and psychological crisis. Prosocial behavior makes the response facilitationeffect of life stress to psychological crisis attenuation.(5)College students’ affinity and altruistic positive qualities has the effect ofpsychological crisis intervention, and that college students’ prosocial behaviors have doublemediation effects of relieve life stress and intervene psychological crisis, College studentsaffinity and altruism is Positive power and potential positive qualities which preventpsychological crisis and maintain mental health of positive energy and potential positivequality.Affinity and altruistic positive quality is a positive psychological power, it can relievestress and intervention in the crisis double mediation effect in the future teaching practice,Should pay more attention to the cultivation of student’s positive qualities, Reduce the risk ofcollege students’ psychological crisis, prove the level of college students’ mental health.
