Music therapy in mental health education of college students use as a research topic, notonly will help the study direction to students as a special group, promoting the in-depthdiscussion and Research on this issue, but also will help to improve the overall development ofmusic therapy, and for the future of music therapy in college students in the field of scientificand useful theoretical reference.Music psychology is the original German scientist Helmholtz from nineteenth Century,music psychology is based on the relationship between music and people’s psychologicalactivity as a discipline of research object and content, it is a new interdisciplinary science andpsychology cross study by music. Through the development and evolution of a many century,music psychology has gradually become an applied science of human physical and mentalhealth of useful. Since the beginning of this century, positive psychology has become the newschools of psychology, positive psychology is the science of happiness and human strengths.In this paper, previous studies of music psychology and positive psychology as the theorybasis, through empirical analysis and theoretical research, to explore the positive psychologyof music on college students and promote the effect of negative psychological and mitigativeeffect of College Students’ psychological health education, so as to provide parameters andguide.The research methods are:(1) literature: literature retrieval and review of previous relatedpositive psychology and the psychology of music, which is the theoretical basis of this study;(2) theory: functional significance of tracing and analysis of positive psychology and thepsychology of music theory and psychosomatic health of people (3); case study: random ofmusic psychology experiment object (about100-200students) are32music after stimulationof music cognition, imagination, emotion and personality interview case, summarized fromevery music individual self-perception and group commonsense;(4) the empirical method: in2011~2012, using self-compiled "music psychology test scale"(including10positivepsychological effect and10negativepsychological effect on the psychology of Xi’an PetroleumUniversity)random elective students (majors random selection) and the Shaanxi NormalUniversity psychology undergraduate students more than600people made32music psychological experiment; after each piece of music is playing or singing stimulation, pleasesubjects were10positive psychological effect on every piece of music and10negativepsychological effects of Likert scale five point evaluation (1=minimum, lower2=,3=,4=High, the highest5=); at the end of the music experimental data SPSS19.0statistical analysissoftware processing. On this basis, through the discussion on the experimental results andanalysis, and draw a conclusion as follows:Perception of music refers to the music elements: rhythm, rhythm, melody, tone, effortsby the sense organs to reflect the objective in the brain (people of music perception ability andthe ability to understand each are not identical, differ from man to man. The same musicexcept manifestation is different style, also can let each one is listen to music people havedifferent emotional reactions and feelings.1music cognition, to people’s imagination, emotion and personality activation effect.(such as "home" music to try to be the activation of the musical cognitive experience is: home,eager to miss home, quiet, eager to miss, quiet;"fantasy" music of the subjects produced moremusical imagination experience is: the sea, childhood, the beautiful melody, the vast sea,children’s play;"I believe" music activated emotion is: the blue sky and white clouds, thebeautiful music people confidence and optimism, friendship, touched, life, sea, beach, breeze,water Ding Dong sound, walk hand in hand with lover;"home" music on trial have morepersonality experience is: parents, mom and dad worried, call home, family etc..2music on negative emotions are soothing effect. Alleviating effect of different musicstyle elements of negative emotions are different, different types of music with ease with anegative role."The Bodhi tree" to relieve pain, loneliness, complaining about the emotions;"someone like you" to ease the tension, anger, hate, pain and emotional;"suddenly" soothingsorrow, loneliness, complain, emotion;"meditation" to relieve pain, loneliness, sadness, andother emotions, complaint "home"; soothe grief, loneliness, hatred, anger;"electronic music"to relieve pain, loneliness, complain emotion;"Vienna forest waltz" relieve fear, complain, sadmood;"Fantasia" to relieve pain, loneliness, nervous, sad mood;"home" a sad, lonely,soothing hatred, anger;"Carmen" relieve loneliness, sadness and other emotions, complaint.3Music positive emotion of people is enhanced significantly effect. On the positiveemotion of subjects were regulated by different types of music, to explore the impact ofdifferent music elements people emotional intensity of positive, with music characteristics ofdifferent people emotional quality positive."Fantasia" increased optimism, peace, joy, hopeand incentive, emotion;"home" to promote the optimistic, peace, joy, encouragement, hopegratitude emotion;"I believe" music has a significant effect on the5emotions: it has increasedoptimism, peace, incentive, proud, hope gratitude emotion "; under the Bodhi tree" increased optimism, peace, incentive, proud, hope gratitude emotion;" someone like you" increasedoptimism, peace, love, hope, pride, motivation emotion.4Music and enhance the well-being and degradation of pain by activating the body.Structural equation model showed: in A group the music "fantasy""home""I believe""underthe Bodhi tree"4song through the positive mood enhancement,95%activated thepsychosomatic mechanisms (nerve excitability, physical pleasure, physical and mentalrelaxation), and finally58%promoted the well-being,12%down the bitter feeling of pain.Group C music "waltz" forest "balance""endless love for you""Carmen",4song byenhancing positive emotions and relieve the negative emotion,83%activated thepsychosomatic intermediary mechanism, and finally67%promoted the well-being,23%degradation of the pain. Thus, the music can be activated by psychosomatic mechanisms andenhance the well-being and degradation of pain.This study made the innovative conclusions, but many problems still exist, such as theconclusion of the study is the analysis conclusion to be drawn from the32music experiment,still need further studies to confirm these conclusions. Therefore, this topic in the future study,also need to continuously expand the experiments and experimental materials, as well asimproving experimental methods and experimental conditions, so that the positive mood ofmusic psychology enhancement effect and negative emotion relieving effect to explore morefully, to deepen the study of promoting the positive psychology and the psychology of music.
