The thesis studies is the teaching contents of novels in junior middle school of China. Thetheme of the research is how to determine the teaching contents of novels. According to thenewest development of reading teaching and research. Determine the teaching content has twonecessary and correlation dimension: one is following the text type, the other is analysisstudents. The thesis is base on the text type of thinking and study how to determine the novelteaching content.This study has two routes: one is form the theoretical deduction, the other one is frompractice way through lesson study wich if from a micro level. Theoretical deduction is: findout the novel style the based on the type to determines its teaching content. Practice wayinduction is: find the teaching content form classes. According to the two path, there are toway to determine the content of novel: theory of style and practice of thinking style.I use the method of lesson study, found out there are three types of novel teaching style:theme image analysis expression. I also studied many cases of “love of life” and comparedthem which are from China and America, and found out the teacher from America usedspeech style.Theory style refers to the text type theory, it base on the text theory. The text type theoryas the theoretical style can instruct the practice style.
