The theory of Multiple Intelligence as well as the theory of Integrating Curricula haveresulted in a tremendous influence on education in the world, but also been used as the theorybasis for new curriculum. However, questions like how to apply the Multiple IntelligenceTheory and the Integrating Curricula Theory in English language teaching of primary school,how to promote English teaching and learning efficiency, and help the students developintelligence, have become the issues of widespread concerns among the educators nowadays.Based on the research of the Multiple Intelligence Theory and the Integrating CurriculaTheory, this thesis makes further exploration by employing different methods. It makes asystematic discussion on the application the Multiple Intelligence Theory and the IntegratingCurricula Theory in various aspects of English teaching in primary school including designingmultivariate and integrate teaching activities. The purpose of this research is to make aneffective English classroom teaching plan from the perspective of the Multiple IntelligenceTheory and the Integrating Curricula Theory, and to provide some references on the practiceof the Multiple Intelligence Theory and the Integrating Curricula Theory for the majority ofeducators, especially the English teachers in primary schools.The key points of this thesis are as follows: whether the English classroom teaching planfrom the perspective of the Multiple Intelligence Theory and the Integrating Curricula Theorypromotes students’ interests in learning English, and their comprehensive language skills aswell as the development of their multiple intelligences.After experiments of a term, the data collected from Experimental class and parallel classare processed with SPSS statistical software. The analysis and comparison of the results showthat it is necessary and feasible to apply the Intelligence Theory and the Integrating CurriculaTheory in English teaching of primary school.
