The indigenization of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in China has experienced more than30years.It had a very important influence on the development of education and new curriculum reform in our country.Overall,The indigenization of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences had experienced a long process:Introduction--learning--Practicing--researching and creating.For continuously exploring,it had finally put down roots in China. Specificly,it had experienced3periods.They are introduction,deeping developing and refelection creating.And it has a unique performance and impact in each period.It has continuous development in the education in China,and also formed a lot of valuable experience.From the horizontal,the impact of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in our educational practice covers general education,vocational education,special education,family education and other fields.From the vertical,in the ordinary school education,tthe Theory of Multiple Intelligences produced a huge impact in the practice and research of the whole education process:from kindergarten to primary school,and from secondary schools to higher education.From a microeconomic perspective,under the inspiring of the Theory of Multiple Intelligence,the concept of talent of our school education,the teaching objectives,the teaching mode,the education evaluation have undergone different changes.The Thoery of Multiple Intelligences came to and developed in China through various channels.Dr.Gardner as a visiting scholar came to China,and Chinese scholars came to USA to study is a basic way.To translate and introduce relevant theory made the theory of Multiple Intelligences as tests known to a large number of Chinese educators.Using this theory to practice made the theory and Chinese education reality combined.Intelligence and the creation achieved the local transformation of the theory of Multiple Intelligences in China.The indigenization of the theory of Multiple Intelligences in China is result of the interaction of multiple factors.There are theory factors,policy factors,cultural factors and social factors.These factors promote or inhibit the speed and extent of the development of the theory of Multiple Intelligences,and we must pay more attention to these.By researching the indigenization of the theory of Multiple Intelligences in China,we can get the following experiences and enlightenment in process of learning foreign educational theory.First,we must have an accurate interpretation of the theory and get sublation absorption.Second,we should practice it combined the education reality in China.Third,it is important to blend the theory and cultural traditions.At last,when we research,we must be reflected in the study of body awareness and explore the localization theory.
