| Innovation is the driving force of economic growth, and an inexhaustible motive force for a country’s long-term development. With the deepening of the tide of economic globalization and regional economic integration, technological innovation plays an increasingly important role in human life, economic development as well as social progress. In recent years, a country’s ability to innovate has become an important factor in measuring this country’s comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness. Since the reform and opening up, China’s economic maintain the rapid growth of9%on average every year, but this resource type, extensive mode of growth has been unable to meet the requirements of rapid economic development. In the face of this development bottleneck, our government must vigorously promote the construction of an innovative country. National Science and Technology Innovation Conference in July2012, General Secretary Hu Jintao stressed to the full implementation of the Long-term Scientific and Technological Development Plan, in order to improve the capability of independent innovation as the core, accelerate the construction of a national innovation system and put forward China entering the goal of an innovative country in2020. The times call for innovative talents with innovative spirit and ability.Education is the basic method to cultivate innovative talents, and foundation of the growth of innovative talents. Cultivation of innovative talents is not only an urgent need for building an innovative country, but also the inevitable choice of Undergraduate Education. In recent years, in response to the reality of the need for economic and social development, the development of higher education in China is very rapid, original undergraduate cultivation system has undergone a corresponding change. How to deepen the reform and improve the existing undergraduate innovative personnel cultivation system are the practical problems to be solved. Published in2010, the National Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan Outline put the reform of personnel training system as a difficulty, focus and highlight content, and clearly stated:to deepen the reform of the education system, the key is to update the concepts of education, the core is the reform of the personnel training system, the aim is to improve the level of training personnel. Recently, China’s colleges and universities are actively exploring how to cultivate innovative talents, and have gained some experience, but still have not achieve a breakthrough, nor the formation of a universally valid training model. Cultivating innovative talents is the salient features of the higher education in the United States. Whether from innovation and personnel training in philosophy or effect, the undergraduate innovative personnel training in the United States is walking in the forefront of the world.Therefore, this article attempts to compare and analyze the successful experience in the practice of American Colleges and Universities in innovation and personnel cultivation system as well as the shortcomings of our colleges and universities in the innovation and personnel cultivation by comparative analysis of the current situation of Sino-US Undergraduate innovation and personnel cultivation system, and combined with the research results of our two undergraduate innovation and personnel cultivation practice. This article wants to build some reasonable suggestions of undergraduate innovative talents cultivation system in Chinese colleges and universities for the administrative departments of education, school leaders, as well as the majority of teachers to use and reference. |
