A Study On Current Situation And Strategies Of Primary School Sports Interest Class In Beijing

During the process to strengthen students’ physique, improve student health, sportsinterest class activities which regards students’ interests as the starting point, distinctfrom the physical education class has made great influence in improving the students’basic knowledge of sports, strengthening students’ sports skills and cultivating thestudents’ unity cooperation spirit. The study of the elementary school sports interest classactivities, which adapts to the needs of the development of school physical educationreform, is not only the need of the full implementation of quality education, but also theneed to improve and enhance the physique of youngsters.This paper analyzes the elementary school sports interest class activities in Beijingin the method of documents and materials, questionnaire investigation, case studymethod, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. On the basis of the analysis of thecurrent situation of the elementary school sports interest class activities in Beijing andthe existing problems, combining the cases of school sports interest class activities inboth primary school attached to Tsinghua University and huajiadi experiment elementaryschool, I put forward opinions on how to promote the healthy development of Beijingprimary school sports interest class activities.The main conclusion of the paper can be made as following: most of the primaryschool sports interest class activities in Beijing are under the management of school’ssports department; most activities are ball, aerobics, taekwondo and track and field,etc.;Sports interest class activities are mostly carried out in every Monday to Fridayafternoon after school time;The frequency of the sports interest class activities for1-2times a week,The elementary school sports interest class activity participation accountedfor more than twenty percent of the total number of school. More than half of the spendof the elementary school sports are from the school and there are many sources of fundsare from the student guide fee;The field and equipment of elementary school sportsinterest class activities can basically meet the demand of interest class activities. Most ofthe students themselves participate in sports interest class activities out of the reason totheir own interests, While a few students are forced by their parents to sign up for thesports interest class activities;Students attending the sports interest class activities havehighly interesting in sports interest class activities; the factor which influences studentsto continue to participate in the activities of the elementary school sports programme isthe great pressure of learning;the motivations of students to participate in the activitiesof sports interest class are mainly reflected in interests and the wish to enhance sports skills.The age of guide teachers become younger than before;besides of the schoolteacher, some teachers are social workers and students; most time of the activities are foran hour and a half;1-2times a week.The author thinks that, the sports interest class activities are the form carried out inschool to improve students physical fitness, which regard skill learning as the goal anddominated by all kinds of students’ interest in sports activities.It is an extension of thephysical education class and supplement which not only trains the students’ interest insports but also meet the demand of the students’ sports. Sports interest class activities hasplayed a positive role in improving and enhancing youth physical fitness as well astraining students’ lifelong sports awareness and habits.
