Facing fierce international competition, We should vigorously strengthenpersonnel development.Personnel training innovative spirit and practical ability isthe key to human development.As a practical research study, autonomy, innovation,cooperation conforms to a strong education campaign needs of the times.Researchstudy can provide the community with both a theoretical foundation of knowledge,but also the knowledge to practice and perform in practice, questioning, reflection,and thus continue to progress, to improve their ability to think. Domestic andforeign education experts communication over-research have found that peoplehave research instinct.researching is a way of life of people to survival, Researchis a way of people to understand the world and to know the world. Researchlearning advocates students’ independent building knowledge system. Students inthe process of research accumulated knowledge, master the method of study,expand the thinking.Research learning enhances the ability of students to adapt tothe social development personal, developed the student’s personality, reflects thehumanistic feelings.Research learning is the focus of the curriculum reform in ourcountry, the years of primary and secondary schools have been advocated andcarried out the study way. The most important of this paper is the development ofinquiry learning in the aspect of theoretical basis and the related questions of howto implement in practice.The first part from the current international situation, the requirement of newcurriculum reform in the domestic two aspects to elaborate the background of research study; From the theory value and practice value to illustrate thesignificance of the research learning.The second part is to the understanding of the inquiry learning, The key is theconnotation of research-based learning, the characteristics of research learning, aswell as the necessity of the research-type learning, having a preliminaryknowledge of inquiry learning.The third chapter expounds the historical origin of research-oriented learningthought, through the introduction to both domestic and abroad, the development ofresearch learning way have a whole understanding. Though domestic and foreignresearch learning way is slightly different in some ways, developing the studentindividuality, cultivating students’ innovative consciousness, developing students’thinking, encouraging students to practice and cooperation among students isconsistent. At home and abroad about the research learning way of thinking andimplementation status is one of the important basis, this thesis studies on theresearch-type learning today.The fourth part and the fifth part is key part of the article.in this part, Will bepart of the theory of the inquiry learning was summarized, and to explore how topractice the research learning way. The theoretical basis of inquiry learning fromphilosophy, psychology, etc, for each school of thought, make up for theirshortcomings. On the basis of comprehensive analysis for the optimization oftheoretical insights. The fifth part mainly analyzes and discusses the three types ofinquiry learning mode, and combined with geography, explored how research-oriented learning in the subject, this part of research learning applied inpractice has a strong reference.Sixth chapter further discusses how research study in geography subject, withthe geographical unit, inquiry learning thought in the geography classroomteaching to achieve to carry on the investigative study. To cultivate students foundthat the problem, analysis problem, problem-solving ability.The seventh chapter illustrates the general method of inquiry learningevaluation, requirements for teachers.
