It is an important research direction to find the causes and transformation strategies for the students with mathematicsematics learning difficulities in mathematics teaching process. In recent years, under the background that the country vigorously develops vocational education, most vocational schools are constantly expanding the school scales. As the backbone major of most vocational schools of engineering, the number of students in electromechanical majoy is keeping increase year by year. Most professional courses in electromechanical major are closely related to mathematics and the learning conditions of mathematics will directly affect the learning of professional courses. According to the survey, about70percent of vocational students majoring in electromechanical are students with mathematics learning difficulities. Thus it is a difficult problem for the teachers to lead the students with mathematics learning mathematics be good at mathematics. However, so far there is few researches focusing on the vocational students majoring in electromechanical with mathematics learning difficulities. For this case, the author proposed the "survey on the causes of mathematics learning difficulties for the vocatioanl students majoring in electromechanical and research on the transformation strategies".To solve this problem, the author put forward the questionnaire and individual interviews for the students in grade2012in Shandong Light Industry Engineering school, Qingdao Electronic school and Yantai Polytechnic school, totally442students in10classes based on the relevant theory about mathematics learning difficulities and the research results at home and abroad. The author searches into the learning situations of the vocatioanl students majoring in electromechanical in order to find the causes. Then the appropriate teaching strategies are proposed after the solution of the problem is found.This paper starts from the present situation and the developmemt about the research on students with learning difficulties. Then we point out the main issues and the significance of this research. We analyse the relevant theory about the vocational students majoring in electromechanical with mathematics learning difficulities and make it clear how to define the students with learning difficulties. Based on the survey and interview abou the vocatioanl students majoring in electromechanical with mathematics learning difficulities, we finally find the causes for this phenomenon and develop the corresponding teaching strageries. In the end, we put forward the comparative teaching experiments in two parallel classes to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed teaching strageries.Studies have shown that there are three main factors which results in the vocational students majoring in electromechanical with mathematics learning difficulities:social factors, student self factors and teacher factors.The students self factors including:idear of learning; confidence of learning; lack of foundation of learning and learning methods and study habits. Teacher’s factors including:teaching attitude; the emotion between teachers and students; teaching method and teaching skill. Based on the factors analysed, we develop the corresponding teaching strategies and apply them in the teaching process. The experiments show that the proposed teaching strategies are effective teaching strategies which can achieve the desired effect. This suggests that in mathematics teaching, we should pay attention to the method of learning, the habit of learning, the foundation of mathematics and the motivation of learning of the vocational students with learning difficulties majoring in electromechanical. We should treat the students with tolerance and understanding and pay enough patience to transform them. This is the only way to keep them out of trouble in learning mathematics and help them get the comprehensive development.
