As the theory of women’s liberation is an important part of Marxism, the sinicization of Marxism can’t be set apart from women’s liberation. With the reform and opening-up policy, the status of women has improved a lot. However, the development of the economy and the market brings new and complex problems on women. Realizing the urgency of resolving this problem, the Chinese Communist Party and the government of China clearly states the equality of women and men as a basic state policy in the report of The eighteenth national congress of the communist party of China, which promotes the status of women to a more obvious position, showing a new future for women’s liberation movement.Women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia during the Yan’an period (from1935to1948) is very crucial for Chinese women’s liberation. It is impossible to neglect women’s liberation movement during Yan’an period when researching on women’s liberation in China because the movement during that period not only shaped a new collective thinking and memory for Chinese women but also formed a new spirit and image for Chinese women, which became the logical turning point of their lifestyle. It is sufficient to say that women’s movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia during the period of Anti-Japanese war is a soaring stage in modern history of Chinese women’s movement. Because of the movement, CCP won the support of women in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia at its hard times, successfully led the new-democratic revolution, and liberated women tremendously at the same time. Women’s position in politics, economies and cultures greatly improved, and the experiences, methods on women work were also vastly enriched.At this time, the subjective and group consciousness embodied in women in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia deeply influenced the process of women’s liberation. Women not only gained a balance between the subjectivity of their own development and the collective characteristics of women’s movement but also promoted the further development of women’s subjectivity, which has both profound theoretical and practical significance on the research into women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia. Based on women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia, choosing the production of women’s subjective consciousness and the growth of women’s collective consciousness as the main clues, this thesis looks for women’s subjective and collective consciousness appeared on the aspects of politics, economies, culture, education and life in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia, and analyzes the subjective consciousness of women in this period in the history of women’s liberation. Through the above analysis, this thesis points out the important significance of women’s subjectivity to women’s liberation movement.This thesis includes three parts:introduction, main body and conclusion.The first part is the introduction. It briefly introduces the reasons for choosing this topic, the current situation of the research in this area and the author’s idea on this research. What’s more, it gives necessary analysis to some core concepts and characteristics to women’s liberation and women’s subjective consciousness to increase the scientificalness and preciseness of the thesis.The main body consists of the second, third, fourth and fifth chapters.The second chapter is about the theoretical foundation and realistic necessity of women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia. It mainly analyzes the existence and maintenance of Chinese women’s liberation since modern times, generalizes the basis of sinicization of Marxist’s view on women. Except for that, the author shows both the significance of women’s subjectivity to women’s liberation movement according to the reality and needs of women in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia and her research on women’s liberation movement in the boder areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia after combining her above opinion with Marxist’s view on women.The third chapter is the presentation of women’s subjectivity of women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia. It analyzes the improvement of women’s subjective consciousness in the border areas from the following five aspects:the tenaciousness of women in the marriage, the outstanding performance in great production campaign, the active role in the management of state affairs, the aggressive attitude showed in women’s education and their progress in daily life.The fourth chapter is the characteristics and effect of the women’s liberation movement in the boder areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia. Based on the research on the development of women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia, this chapter summarizes the characteristics and effects of women’s movement there. The characteristics include the unity of women’s subjective consciousness and their collective consciousness, female intellectuals’ catalytical effect on the movement, and male leaders’special impact on the movement. The significance includes the following aspects:Women’s liberation is an important part of new democratic revolution, it helps set a good new social trend in the border areas, and it also promotes the creation and development of Marxism’s view on women.The fifth chapter shows the practical significance of the experiences and lessons in women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia. Setting foot on women’s subjective consciousness in Chinese women’s liberation movement, this chapter summarizes the practical significance of the experiences and lessons in women’s liberation movement in the border areas into the following three aspects:social progress is the objective premise of full expression of women’s subjective awareness; Women’s liberation should pay attention to women’s need for love and marriage; the demand of women’s liberation should reflect the time value of the sinicization of Marxism’s view on women.The third part is conclusion. It reaffirms the significance of the-research on women’s liberation movement in the border areas of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia and its relationship with Chinese women’s liberation in the new period. It further points out the necessity of theoretical integration of Marxism’s view on women.
