As the development of the society, education is becoming more and more important. Meanwhile, there is more and more demanding for teachers. On April12th1986, The Compulsory-education Law was adopted at the Fourth Session of the Sixth National People’s Congress. And the establishment of teacher certification system is the important process of teacher professionalization, the purpose of which is to ensure that teachers with high qualification have more ability to cultivate the next generation. During the ten-year implementation of teacher certification system, to what extent the system has done to improve the qualification of the teachers is the issue we should put focus on.The paper contains four chapters, which leads us to know the relation of teacher certification examination and teacher’s education and teaching ability.Chapter one is introduction, which mainly presents the core concept, the research methodology and the research result on teacher certification examination abroad and home.Chapter two mainly introduce four aspects which are the history of teacher certification examination in China, the difference of teacher certification examination in Shaanxi, Sichuan and Henan province, interview of examinee in those three province by the form of questionnaire and the main content of teachers’education and teaching ability. Chapter two lay a solid foundation of the following chapters.Chapter three is the core part of the thesis, which mainly presents the relation of teacher certification system and teachers’education and teaching ability by the form of questionnaire. The author analyzes the corresponding data by SPSS. By the analysis of students’performance before and after the teacher have teacher’s certification, the author presents whether teacher certification accelerate teacher’s teaching ability and how many factors blocks the development of teacher certification system and proclaim the relation between them.Chapter four proposes four suggestions on the reform of teacher certification according to the analysis of questionnaire and presents the lately reform measures and finds that the teacher certification system is unceasingly developing, which can promote the development of teachers at the most extent.
