In2011, China’s latest the Curriculum Standards Of Primary Science(revised version) has proposed that primary science curriculum should opened fromgrade1to grade6and the selection of course content should consider the parallelingrelated subjects and the related7-9subjects convergence. This marks that the sciencetextbook published in2001will change. The science textbooks which have been used10years will be replaced by the new version and the upcoming will fill the vacancy inlower elementary science textbook. The new Curriculum Standards of Primary Scienceimplemented will bring an important opportunity for the development of China’sprimary science curriculum resources. The author as a science teacher has worked inChengdu KeHua middle Road Primary School for a long time found that the chemicalpart of our science textbooks is a serious shortage and there are many unreasonablesetups in curriculum. In order to solve the problems in our science curriculum materials and teaching, this article researched on many home and abroad literature though collecting manyforeign Editions such as U.S. STC and California, Tokyo Educational Science and otherteaching materials and compared them with Chinese Educational Editions of SciencePress and Jiangsu Education Press. Through the questionnaire and interview on Scienceteachers and experts on the front line in China, the author found that the chemistrycurriculum resources in China’s primary science are shortage and made a conclusionthat the development of primary school chemistry curriculum resources is imperative. The usage of the advanced experience in foreign primary school reflects on the actualscience teaching situation in the current primary school. This paper designed fivechemistry experiments such as the "homemade fire extinguisher","flame reaction andfireworks color","liquid identified ". These experiments achieved satisfactory results inprimary school science teaching practice and were highly appraised by the students. This paper has got the Conclusions that: the chemistry curriculum resources inChinese primary science textbook exist seriously shortage. It is very important todevelop a new primary school science chemistry curriculum resource for students.Thispaper aims to broaden children’s scientific horizons and improve their manipulativeability, hoping to provide some references and suggestions to the preparation of newteaching materials. This paper mainly adopts the method of investigation, action research method, comparison method and literature method.
