The education of secondary vocational school is mainly to train theskilled operators for factories, which requires students to master excellent operatingskills. At present, most teachers adopt the traditional teaching methods and only a fewtake modern teaching means into their teaching. This makes the patterns of classroomteaching simple and dull, can not mobilize the enthusiasm of the students and makesstudents bad in practicing by hands. Teaching methods must be reformed in order tomake students good at practicing by hands. The microteaching was been introduced intoChina in the1980s and has been spread and developed rapidly in China. As a way oftraining normal school students, the microteaching is vey efficient to improve teachingquality, which is widely applied into the courses of teacher’s education major. themicroteaching has such features as being easily controlled, clear targets and timelyfeedback, and is a action of making the whole into parts, difficulty into simplicity.This essay discusses the application of microteaching mode in the practical courseof Photographing Technique, summaries the definition, local and overseas presentresearches, the origin and development of the microteaching, surveys the teachers’views on introducing microteaching into teaching classes, and surveys the students ontheir favorite teaching mode. By action research method, two classes of SecondaryVocational Department in Yibin Vocational and Technical College are chosen into theexperiment that the student in one class are taught by traditional teaching method andthe ones in the other class are done by microteaching method.“PreliminaryUnderstanding and How to Hold Video Camera, Travel Shoot and Varifocal Shoot” arechosen as teaching contents to design.The results of the experiments indicate:1. Students can be easier to learn how to shoot by microteaching method, and itimproves the teaching effect.2. The achievements of knowledge and practice of the students taught bymicroteaching are better than by traditional teaching method.3. The application of microteaching in course of Photographing Technique improvesthe interests and initiatives of the students.4. By checking the video works of the students, the teachers can know how thestudents operate in shooting video camera, give the students individual instructionspertinently, analyze and improve their own teaching skills, and optimize the teachingeffect.
