Freedom And Regulation: A Study Of The Development Of The College Literature Associations

College literature association is a product of the modern university andthe new modern university system.A loose political environment and a multi-culturalenvironment are the conditions to promote it.And the society and the universities arethe main external environment of it.College literature association is the organization ofthe “common colleage”.It is a group composed by the same literary ideas andthoughts.It is a form of students’ freedom of association and publication.Therefore,thecollege literature association fully reflects the “free spirit” of the literaturegroup.”University”,”literature” and “societies” are the essential characteristics of thecollege literature association.Each of them have their own characteristic,but they areintrinsically linked.The text selected the college literature association for the study.On the study of thehistorical college literature association,I chosed the historical research method.Fromthe point of view of the university system to study the formation and development ofthe college literature association and analyzed the development trend of the collegeliterature association is from freedom to insitutionalization.And when described thereality,I chosed the case study method.I took the Youth Literature Association ofSichuan Normal University as a research object to describe its development status andmake analysis of its “internal” and “external” regulation.In the modern university system,the Youth League Committee and the StudentsAssociation Union are the superior departments in charge of the literatureassociations.The college literature association in the process of “discipline” had gaveup many characteristics and functions of it such as the delight and the “freespirit”.College literature association has become “institutionalized” from “free”.Butcollege literature association plays an irreplaceable role in participate in the college student affairs,carry forward the humanities spirit of the college and build the cultureof the university.So in the modern university system,the school administrators how to improve theirwork and the college literature association how to expand their space are worthy offurther study.Perfect societies management system can ensure the stable operation ofthe college literature associations toward the healthy direction.The same time,theliterature associations should keep up with the times and adapt to the development ofintrinsic motivation.”Technical environment” and “institutional environment” are thetwo important environment of the organizition to survive and develop.Collegeliterature associations adapt to the times and be given the new connotation andinstitutional external environment are the two important conditions for itsdevelopment.At the same time,the convenience of modern network technology has brought newopportunities to the development of the college literature associations.Network as aplatform for the new college literature associations take the university as thefoundation,but it break through the campus.The college literature associations in thesupport of the institutional environment break through the “system” in a certain degreeand return to the “freedom”.The college associations in the new era return to “have thesame literary tastes and beliefs freely formed groups” again.They are the results offreedom of association and freedom of speech and the organization of colleages.It hasthe same tradition,connotation and characteristics with the associations of ancientscholars and modern literature assosciations.The thesis concludes four chapters:Chapter1:to introduce the origin of the research,the content of the research,thesignificance of the research,define the concepts of association,the literature associationand the college literature association,and introduce the reseach at home andabroad.And based on them,I chosed the historical research and the case study method.Chapter2:make analysis of the formation and development of the college literatureassociation and draw the conclusion that the trend of the college literature associationis from “free” to “institutionalize”.Chapter3:describe the current development of the college literatureassociation,select the New Youth Literary society of Sichuan Normal University as acase to do case study,describe the impact and limitations from the “external regulation”to the “internal work” which make the college literature assiciation give up its original “free spirit” in the process of “institutionalization”.Chapter4:summary,in the modern university system,scientific management is itsessential character.In the management of the Youth League Committee and theStudents Association Union,college literature association presents differentcharacteristics.College literature assiciation encountered some difficulties,some of thefeatures did not play such as participation in student affairs and the construction ofuniversity culture.But building the culture and spirit of the university has a profoundsignificance for the establishment of the modern university system. Therefore,in themodern university system,how to promote the college literature to realize their functionis worthy of further study.At the same time,the convenience of modern networktechnology has brought new opportunities to the development of the college literatureassociations.Network as a platform for the new college literature associations take theuniversity as the foundation,but it break through the campus and break through the“system” in a certain degree and return to the “freedom”.
