| The communication between countries is increasing with the rapiddevelopment of social life informatization and economic globalization, which makeEnglish become increasingly prominent. As a necessary way for language input,reading plays an important way in English learning. For this reason, reading teaching isone of the important parts in Junior English teaching and become the main channel tocultivate talents with good foreign language quality. Task-based teaching modelintegrates the advantages of communicative teaching method and traditional method. Itfollows the principle of practical and attract attention from education experts andteachers at home and abroad in a short time. Within this context, it is of far-reachingsignificance to research the theory and practice of task-based teaching model.The object of the paper is the study on task designing for English reading teachingin junior high school based on the schema theory. According to this, how to design tasksbased on the schema theory and how to complete them in the English teachingclassroom are the key issues to be resolved. The key issues to be resolved determinesthe task and range of the study. The problems in reading teaching are found throughanalyzing the questionnaire and interview of two eighth-grade classes. Then design,implement and reflect tasks based on the schema theory in order to solve the problems.The key issues are solved through a semester practice study.The study find the core ofdesigning and implementation of task is to activate and take advantage of students’schema. The study not only make students increase motivation, master some readingstrategies, and enhance their autonomous learning consciousness and cooperationconsciousness, but also make partnership teacher change his teaching views andteaching actions. The feature of the study is the combination of academic research andpractical research. The study produces a good teaching effect, and has a certain academic and practical value. |
