Occupation Lassitude is an important field of research that exists inOrganizational Psychology in the West and Occupational Health Psychology, whichrefers to the individuals with so long-term career pressure and can’t be effectivelyalleviated that have occured a series of negative symptoms. Generally, it makes theindividual mind and body fatigue, resulting in loss of work enthusiasm, rebelling attheir work, besides, they became indifference gradually and occured some behaviorslike escape, shrink and irresponsibility, in which finally resulting a decline of the abilityto work and satisfactory for job and so on.The paper based on the object of college P.E. teachers in Gansu province, appliedin method of literature review, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistic method.To analysis sampling on college PE teachers in Gansu province find out the causes ofjob burnout, characteristics, scope and degree. Therefor, to provide reference for thereasonable building of college PE teachers and administrative mechanism, and thefindings would have an important significance in the improvement of PE teachers’ workand quality of life.The reaserch results show that:(1)The basic information of universities and colleges gym teacher in Gansuprovince is like this: the amount of male is more than that of female, which to a certainextent, is affected by the work environment; teachers tend to be younger; Masters is inthe majority, bachelors accounted for40%of investigation number; the amount in allstages of teaching experience is relatively equal.(2) The Job burnout index of gym teachers of colleges and universities in Gansuprovince is by-level, and it has not reached to a serious burnout standard. In gender factors,male teachers are easier to have a job burnout than femal teachers, and they feela lower personal accomplishment. In title factors, the burnout levels of a lecturer isabove on an assistant professor or an associate professor. In teaching experience factors,the emotional exhaustion dimension is mainly proportional to teaching experience, thedate of gym teachers whose teaching experience on deindividuation dimension arebetween11and15years is the highest, the sense of achievement on low personalaccomplishment dimension of6-10years’ experience is of the highest; In degreefactors, the emotional exhaustion index of low levels is higher, and the burnout levels ofhighly educated teachers on deindividuation and low personal accomplishment is higher,and their sense of achievement is lower. In the factor of income, the emotionalexhaustion index of teachers who get1501-2000yuan is of the higest degree. And thesense of achievement of teachers who get2001~3000yuan is of the highest.(3)Main factors of job Burnout of College PE teachers in Gansu province are: notenough equity in school, physical education teacher cannot obtain the same treatmentwith those in other places, few autonomy on teacher’s curriculum and planning, lesstraining and education opportunities than other disciplines, which leads to theincapability of rejuvenating new knowledge, skills for the senior teacher, as well as thelow social status and poor salary.(4) Locus of control, personal traits associated with job burnout are related witheach other dramatically, which indicates that the job burnout degree decrease ifpersonality traits tend to be outside control and vice verse. Compared with the difffenceof job burnout from the perspective of internal control and external control of personaltraits, it is not hard to find the significant difference on the dimension of emotionalexhaustion and deindividuation of job burnout.
