It is a personnel training mode inwhich internal teaching environment and external resources are integrated so as toenable students to gain practical work experience, hence improve the overall qualityof students with core expertise in all aspects. Only if when technical schools integrateenterprise industry resources and earnestly carry out work-integrated learning, establish effective cooperation mechanism between school and enterprises, can ittruly cultivate technical talents who can meet the requirements of both society andenterprise. This article aims to study the problems encountered in carrying outwork-integrated learning mode by technical schools. By sorting out the status quo ofthe mode carried out in Guangzhou Electromechanical Technical College togetherwith analyzing the work-integrated learning talents training mode conducted byGuangzhou Communications Senior Technical School, the main problems existing inthe college-enterprise cooperation and the implementation of work-integrated learningmode have been identified. Further study is conducted on the status quo andrestricting factors of work-integrated learning mode of technical schools in China. In view of the regional economic construction and industrial transferdevelopment, Guangdong Province promulgated, on May16,2010, the “Outline ofthe Plan for Accelerating Modern Technical Education System (2010-2015)” inwhich technical education development direction and the training scale was advanced. It also highlighted the acceleration of training professional skill talents urgentlyneeded in advanced manufacturing industry, modern high technology industry, strategic emerging industry, modern service industry and modern agriculture andproviding talents for the transformation of economic development and industrialupgrading in Guangdong Province by way of actively carrying out"School-Enterprise Collaboration Program".After exploring the problems in work-integrated learning, some suggestions onadvancing work-integrated learning in technical schools are put forward. Firstly, establish and improve the external guarantee mechanism, namely, the governmentshould make great efforts to formulate and implement relevant policies, laws andregulations; to build a platform for both school and enterprise, creating necessaryconditions and opportunities, offering necessary funding as well as strengtheningmanagement and supervision. Secondly, technological school should strengthen theconnotation development, namely, establishing new types of cooperation educationmode and effective cooperation operating mechanism between colleges andenterprises; adapting professional discipline and curriculum construction to thework-integrated learning mode and increasing "the double quality teacher"construction force. Only the "win-win" development ideas are adhered inwork-integrated learning, in other words, only both school and enterprise give fullplay to the advantage of cooperation and fully enjoy the achievement ofwork-integrated learning education mode, will school-enterprise cooperation andwork-integrated learning mode be carried out in a dynamic, healthy and harmoniousway.
