By means of investigating five secondary schools in City Changsha of HunanProvince, finding that the psychological problems of poor students in secondaryvocational school are mainly manifested in four aspects: psychological problems ofstudy, psychological problems of themselves, psychological problems of individualcharacters, and interpersonal psychological problems. The reasons for the series ofmental health problems are as follows: Considering its own factors, theself-positioning of students in secondary vocational school is not correct. The worldoutlook, outlook on life and value orientation is not correct. Personal feelings arehandled unproperly. Frustration tolerance difference and attribution is not clear.Considering the family factors, family relationship, family atmosphere, attitude to life,and parental rearing style would influence the mental health of poor students insecondary vocational school. Considering the social factors, poor students insecondary vocational schools are under the influence of society. Good societyphenomenon will promote the growth of the poor students in secondary vocationalschool. And all bad atmosphere in society will play an important effect on theirmental health. Considering the national factors, charity for students’learning andliving in the secondary school is developed not so well. The social securitymechanism is not perfect enough. In addition, the government and the department ofeducation fund the poor students in an open way which are likely to make the poorstudents in secondary vocational school anxiety, fear, depression. And this causesother psychological problems. The most important aspect is the school. Showing theschool education system is not perfect, the educational methods for psychologicalhealth in school and measurements are inappropriate, such as thoughts of teachers,inflexible educational approaches.According to the series of reasons, corresponding educational countermeasures arepresented, including five aspects. Parents should strive to create a healthy, civilized,harmonious family environment. By increasing the propaganda of mental healtheducation, purification of school environment, creating good external environmentgood community environment. The society should pay more attention to poor studentsin secondary vocational schools. The state should attache great importance tovocational school students’ mental health education. The school needs a sound mechanism of psychological health education. For example, to establish and toimprove the psychological health education organizations, to implement mental healtheducation activities in practical, to strengthen the construction of teaching staff invocational school, to establish psychological consultation mechanism perfectly, tostrengthen the constructional culture of campus, to create a good environment. Finally,to establish "the quaternity" mental health education network.This paper discusses the countermeasures of cultivating mental health of studentsin secondary vocational school. It is useful to improve the mental health of poorstudents in secondary vocational school in a certain extent. And It is an improvementof raising the level of psychological health of poor students. By this, it is helpful toensure that the medium occupation schools can provide higher level of talent for thelong-term development of the country.
