| This thesis, based on the theories such as market consumption, market supplyand demand, human resource, in the light of the research objects of the students andtheir parents involved in three different categories of middle schools in the city ofChangsha, targeting the expenditure on the extracurricular education for students asthe research content, strives to make a tentative research on the basic features of thehousehold expenditure on extracurricular education for children, the influencingfactors and its’ role for market demand, the public evaluations thereof in the case of ajunior middle school students’ families in the city of Changsha, with data collected byrandom sampling method, interview method and questionnaire survey method bothqualitatively and quantitatively. Its significance lies in the following three aspects:firstly, Through the statistical analysis of expenditure on extracurricular education forchildren, excavate general law of expenditure on extracurricular education; secondly,the public evaluations thereof also provide another realistic basis for the governmentto regulate the extracurricular educational market. Thus, the analysis of factorsaffecting the expenditure on extracurricular education for the students can providetheoretical evidence for the enactment of educational policies.The results of this thesis show that the for the consumption of the has becomeone of the major consumptions for the junior middle school students in the city ofChangsha, and that there are distinctive differences between schools; In addition, theextracurricular education in Changsha market is growing rapidly, but the disorder iswidespread operations; individuals, families,cognition all exert impact on theexpenditure on extracurricular education, which was significantly correlated withacademic performance, family yearly income, the main guardian’ education andoccupation, the proportion of the household income spent on the educationexpenditure, as well as how much the information thereof is known; the participationand willingness of students’ exert some influence on the public evaluation given byparents to a certain degree. According to the results, in the premise of the objectiveneed for the consumption of the extracurricular education, it is put forward in thethesis that the key to the benign development of the extracurricular education is asound regulation of the extracurricular educational market. |
