Entering the21st century and seeing the rapid development of science and technology, weare facing with more challenges from the dramatic changes of digital society, so it’s importantfor students to develop eternal learning skills. Naturally it has been a necessary quality forstudents to learn how to acquire knowledge and to get effective and efficient learning methods.If students could gradually acquire PE skills, they will be able to appeal to the new challengesactively in the innovation age.The Course Standards of Sports and Health, the new version textbook quality-orientededucation published in2011, pointed that: by learning the courses, students will grasp the basicknowledge, fundamental skills and method of sports and health, and enhance physical abilities,develop the practical and innovative capabilities of PE, experience the fun and success of sports,and finally, develop a habit of keeping exercise.”To center on the development of students, andto help students learn how to study academic learning as well as PE” is one of the basicconcepts of the course. The course focuses on the leading role of teachers as well as students inthe teaching process, emphasizes the abilities of autonomous learning, cooperative learning andinquiry learning of students, and helps students to learn PE and healthy study habits.In the new course innovation, the guiding ideology,“health comes first” has impressed us alot. The teachers will help students to get overall development, to learn PE and healthy studyhabits, to develop the abilities of study academic learning and of exercising, and ultimatelyform a educational aim of an eternal sports idea. What’s more, the innovation takes all kinds ofmeasures to enable the comprehensive abilities of learning.The researches of promoting and developing students’ learning abilities are dramaticallyincreasing. But researches from the point of view of unit teaching are not as many as those ofother aspects. This thesis focuses on how to promoting and developing students’ learningabilities, and how to grasp the physical and healthy study methods by a inquiry to372middleschool students and58elite teachers in Pingyin County. Based on the “teaching and researchactivities of unit teaching” in the process of unit studuing, this thesis divided each unit intofollowing steps. First, step of learning motivation; second, initiative of taking part in practiceand research; third, consolidation and uplifting; fourth, self-presentation and self-innovation; fifth, assessment; and finally, making an exercising plan through cooperation. In the differentphrases, the teachers and students will adopt different teaching and learning methods, and mixthe traditional teaching and learning methods with the contemporary methods which advocatethe combination of autonomy, cooperation and exploratory learning. And this paper explainssetting aim, stirring up the interest of learning, preparation before class, warming up activities,learning instruction in class, study evaluation, homework assignment and other aspects indetails, and it also discusses how to make students do exercise actively, how to grasp the basicknowledge, skills and methods of physical and health. And it also leads students to form theawareness and habits of exercise, and more important, to form a eternal idea of keepingphysical exercise.This research focuses on unit teaching practice and form individualized unit teachingmodel from the point of view of developing physical education. It concludes the valuablelearning methods from the unit teaching practice, and provides advisable experiences to theones who’s working in the same field and to the decisions of leaders, thus improve our PEteaching condition. With the concept of exploration of new courses, this paper will be helpfulfor developing the unit teaching program of PE, provides constructive experiences, suggestionsand instructions to the PE teachers, and develops the success and achievement of the targetassignment of PE courses. The students will acquire invisibly the strategies and methods oflearning by studying all the units. This thesis helps students pave a way for the optionaleducation in senior high and for their future and helps students form eternal exercise ideas.
