Nowadays, under the influence of new curriculum reform, the aim of teaching activities is gradually changing from merely imparting knowledge to imparting both knowledge and learning skills. At the same time, more attention has been paid not only to the learning process of students and the learning methods used but also to the emotional attitude and values of students in the process of learning. That’s the three-dimensional target to be achieved in the process of teaching, the concern of which is actually the attention to the effectiveness of the teaching process. Therefore, research on the effectiveness of teaching has gradually become a hot topic about the new curriculum reform in the field of teaching.Although some achievements in the research and practice on unit review lesson have been reached, some problems in effectiveness and efficiency still exist, such as: "cramming education" on the unit recitation, the loss of the principal position of students, single teaching method, "topic naval warfare", unclear goal. Junior high school physics knowledge are multiple, complex, and extensive, so we need to think deeply about how to make unit recitations effective. This dissertation attempts to take "improve the effectiveness of the junior high school physics teaching unit recitations" as a research theme, aims to provide operable and practical teaching methods on the unit recitations for teachers by this study, and provide practical basis for improving the effectiveness of unit recitation.The main work of this study includes:Ⅰ. Do a literature review of research on the effectiveness of junior high school physical unit recitations; define the concepts of this study and we analyze the theoretical basis of this study.Ⅱ. Learn about the actual teaching situation about unit recitation by attending classes, and making a survey of relevant teachers and students; make detailed analysis of the status quo of teaching methods used in unit recitation, students’interest and teaching effectiveness.Ⅲ. Construct effective teaching strategies about unit recitation based on theoretical analysis and the present situations.Ⅳ. Check the validity of unit recitation in the physical lessons; make a statistics of the data by questionnaires; judge the validity of review by comparing the experimental class and the contrast class and the effectiveness of constructed teaching strategies, from the aspects of students’ learning interest, learning effect and the development of their thought.Through the theory and practice, we can draw a conclusion as follows:Ⅰ. Unit recitation teaching strategies proposed in this study is valid and workable. Teaching strategies raised in this study not only enable students to perform better in physics, but lift students’ interest in learning which means the strategies used the increase the effectiveness of unit recitation.Ⅱ. Teaching strategies proposed in this study have a positive role in promoting to these three teaching objectives including knowledge and skills, processes and methods, attitudes and values. And this is evidenced by the practice of teaching.
