“Maketization of education” has not been a new topic.The United States started a widerange of market-oriented reforms from the1980s in the field of higher education, China’seconomic development increasingly, coupled with the Chinese government attaches greatimportance to education, whether Chinese or Western scholars have higher enthusiasm ineducation market research. This paper attempts to illustrate the development of China and theUnited States in the education market from four aspects of the comparison with the revelationof the meaning of the marketization of education. By using a variety of research methods, Ianalysis and describe in detail the origin of the education market, in the process of analysis ofthe origin of market-oriented, then I summed up the market-oriented connotation. Secondly,using the summarized method in comparison depth development of bilateral market-oriented,and explain specific description of the status of their own development of China and theeducation market of U.S. education market. The results show that the education market inChina and the United States have their own advantages and typical features, simultaneouslyfacing a number of problems, and how to solve these problems is the intention of this article.The last part expound that on the future of China and the United States in the educationmarket-oriented path of development, from many angles, gives solutions to problems, somerecommendations are given only for the critical stage of development in the educationmarket-oriented. This paper aims to better improve and develop education theory ofmarket-oriented system, at the same time to provide guidance for the educationmarket-oriented social practice. In the study of China and the United States in the educationmarket-oriented way, we should be a clear understanding between the education marketdevelopment there is a gap, especially China’s marketization of education faces many urgentproblem, through in-depth understanding of the marketization of education in the UnitedStates, you can provide us with a great deal of experience and the development of China’seducation market also has advantages for the United States to learn from, so the study ofChina and the United States education market-oriented way, no doubt both countries role.
